What does the following post from Jerry mean:confused:

Those who intentionally overload their order request and then cancel most or part of their order AFTER notifications have been sent out, will lose their place and be put at the end of the line....

Is that after all notifications are sent to everyone or after we receive our individual notification or after anyone receives a notification   I do understand that you don't want some nut job to order $25,000 worth of knives and then find out a day after all the notices went out that he just wanted a Game Warden, and then have to reallocate a pile of knives.

But often for a knife like a FSH Proto I may add one to my email for a guy that wants one and then if I find that he got it I may cancel my request. Usually I take the knife anyway but some day I may not if I'm not interested in it myself.

Are you saying we should stop that too?

Tony G

Yes that may be the ultimate sin:eek:… to ask Skunk or Jerry a question that may require at least partial sobriety to answer. Ducci’s right, what was I thinking:confused:

Heavens, no!! It's no sin...

However, I don't know if we're running a risk here -- you know, confusing The Boss on a Ganzaa Day? The result could be ... humorous! :D

I think the best thing for it is to have a few drinks, then a few more, then another, and then try asking the question again.

RULE 1... The BOSS is Always Right.

RULE 2... If the BOSS is WRONG... Refer to RULE 1!

LOL... Don't worry, Tony G, if that happens where you have to throw one back...

YOU WILL BE SHOT!!! :D:D :p

LOL :)

We have had quite a few guys put in for 10-20 knives and then after they are notified, they come back and say that all they wanted was 1 knife. . .

That is a major pain for the girls in the office. . . .

Me? I feel nothing. . . because I'm usually too hammered to care!!!!. . . . .

Perhaps a quick email to the offenders might be in order.

BTW - is this the GO signal?? GO GO GO!!!!

Perhaps a fill-or-kill situation. If you don't wanna spend more than $x, fine. But if you list 10 knives, take em all or none. That'll lurn em.

VERY SIMPLE HERE. WHAT HE IS SAYING IS TO:

ORDER ONLY WHAT YOU PLAN ON BUYING BECAUSE IF YOU ORDER MORE AND THEN BACK OUT, YOU WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST.

GREAT IDEA....

JERRY SHOULD THROW ONE CAVEAT IN. If you are guilty of the above then you have a choice, either bottom of the list or amy and the girls get to kick you in the nads once for every knife you threw back

I have never done this, but I could see some newbs doing it. After all, Jerry does state that one should list backup choices since the primary choices might not be available. Theen it just becomes a question of "how many" backup choices are needed to get one piece of INFI.

Hopefully, nobody is loading up just for the sake of it. IMO, it's pretty obvious that doing so would create an unnecessary headache for the Busse crew, and why do that??? They already work their butts off. Why would someone intentionally make it harder on them?

I would like to take this opportunity to point out one salient fact:

"I do NOT throw knives back."

[Now I feel better ... or maybe safer! :D]

[On Soup Box]I agree if you asked for it and get it, its yours. If you were nice enough to order it for someone else and get it, then its HIS/HERS. Doubling up on knife orders (each listing the others wanted knives) then subsequently canceling one of the orders is just not fair to everyone else.[/On Soup Box]

Did somebody say GO!?!

It has always been the Newbies. . . Old HOGs never throw stuff back. . . .

Good luck boys!!!

I'm uncorking a bottle of JWB and gettin' bizzy ! ! ! !

I can see how it would become a real administrative pain in the arse to have to figure out what there is left over for others down the list when someone throws a few back

I do, too!

I'm just having a beer here. Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale. No -- it is NOT girly-beer!!

I'm not getting any younger -- single malt now = trouble later.

I'll start drinking seriously just after I see the "GO" button.

Thanks,

I understand and it seems all you are doing is asking us to use our brain for more than storage of good scotch.

And now that I put it in those terms I'm in conflict.

Ooops. :o

I threw a few back in the last 'Ganzaa; I had asked for 5 or so, thinking I would get 2 or 3, but got the 5. My CC wasn't ready for all that.
