BrainOnSigs and I stopped at the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, South Dakota today. I have been in Hot Springs several times, because my parents live here, but have never been to the Mammoth Site. Until today. Anyway, Jerry was clearly here, as evidenced by the rectangular chunk of mammoth ivory that was carefully carved out of this tusk, which was clearly used on a Game Warden or Active Duty Custom Shop knife:

Looks like a great place to visit, never heard of it before now. Will put that on the list for possible next stops when I visit the US next year.
