Jerry's Dilemma...?

I saw it and became very confused.

Having read the title, I thought that it was going to address "Jerry Busse's REAL dilemma". . . . .that being, Why would anyone drink dark beer when Carling Black Label can be found almost anywhere?

Now that's a dilemma!!!!;)

Jerry

I thought Jerry's dilemma was the difficult decision of which knife to give me for my birthday, in a few days.;)

I think he meant to name the post "Leather's Dilemma" - an introspective look at the writers problems with grammar and spelling.

:p

How long was Leather a Grunt for? Since he seems to know what I prefer to carry. Just curious. Me, I'll stick with that huge, heavy SHBM, BM-E, Basic 9. Sorry Leather, maybe you DON'T know what a real Grunt wants.:grumpy:

of being too SUCCESSFUL in making great knives & with people pounding at his door to get his knives! All this success doesn't appear to have gone to Jerry's head. Some other people in a similar situation might have found that their big head would not fit the doorway because they are a legend in their own mind.

Howdy everyone, I deciced I had to chime in and give my two cents worth on this matter. So I added a lengthy rant to the thread in question.
Also I agree with Flatlander only make mine a Natural Outlaw:D

Leaving the grunting to the Grunts:p

I read through that post, and it seems to me that Leather has some sort of grudge, issue, or chip on his shoulder regarding Busses. He never stated what led to those feelings or opinion, so where this post came from, who knows?

The "Busse Killer" thread from way back starts out on the premise that:
I make an assumption that the steels in each knife are competitive and comparable. If someone else has some test data then I’m not hard to convince since I haven’t done any blade testing with the knives. For now I assume you shouldn’t worry about the steel composition.

The steels in the knives aren't comparable, and any assumptions are invalid. Seeing that the author didn't have any kind of test data, nor done any testing, how can an accurate impression impression or assessment take place? I don't understand.

Like Jerry, though, what I really don't understand is how people can forgo Carling's finest and pay for some overpriced swill that has a fancy label that you can't read, and contents that you have to chew?

That's the real $64,000 question. The rest is "bench racing".

And another thing;) Although price IS an issue, my troops will carry the BEST knife they can afford. You DO get what you pay for. I've loaned guys my own Basic9/7/5, CGSJ, BM-E and even my SHSH to carry so that they would have the BEST tool when out in the field. I guess I just don't want my troops to run into problems when their tools break when they need them the most. End rant:D :D

I just posted antother even longer rant in response to the response I got. Does that make sense? I think I have communicated my views clearly and ad nausem and will rant no more (I hope)

Oh well... off to watch a Disney Movie(The Rookie):p

Nick

P.S. Speaking of lending Busses I wonder if Jerry will lend me one of the folders? :D
