Here's Jerry's first finished piece for his Micro Show in October. I think the knives get better each year. Beautiful ironwood scales on frame handle, 8" blade from 5160 and just enough engraving to give it that elegant look.
Some lucky collector will grab the right ball out of the sack to buy this one.

I love those mid-sized bowies, and that one is particularly well balanced esthetically.

I agree Joss. I like the midsize Bowie too, but the smaller the Bowie the harder to get the blade to handle proportions correct and Jerry aced that here.
This is also a one of a kind piece.

I also love well executed frame constructed handles too. As it's just another process in which the best makers can demonstrate their skills.

Kevin,
I have noticed that Jerry surely is thinking of this balance at he early stages when he is forging and grinding. The flow from ricasso to handle is really nice and determines the size of the handle and the flare. I also think this knife would fit into the other thread about too much or too little embelishments. This one is just right, in my opinion. Lin
