Pulled this one out for use recently. I bought three of these from A.G. Russell a while ago, two for gifts and kept this one. They were made with micarta slabs as well. Kind of in the same class as a Dragonfly except IMHO more elegant in form. Wish I bought a couple in micarta!

I have a black Micarta AG Russell Baby Horn that's in my "gentleman's folder" rotation and I really like it--couldn't agree more about its elegance. The only other Spydercos that rival its sleek pocketability are the Air and the Kiwi. Now if only I could score a white Micarta Baby Horn...But that's what Grails are for :)

Nice SS Baby Horn.

In addition to the plain and serrated black Micarta versions of the C34 Jess Horn, Spyderco made a total of 5 "A. G. Russel Special" versions. There were two full size C34 variants in white and burgundy Micarta, both with full flat ground blades, and three "Baby Horn" versions in black Micarta and all stainless with a hollow ground blade and my personal favorite, white Micarta with a full flat ground blade.

The FRN Burgundy Laminated ZDP bladed version is my favorite due to the performance/weight/size/ergos. The thin grind makes it perform as well as the ZDP Caly Jr and it's pinned so weight is feathery. Another sleeper many have overlooked. They still don't command much on the secondary market because they aren't as well known as the Caly jr. ZDP. When it was released it, like the Caly Jr. was under $70. I bought about 5 back then and sold all but one over the years.

The color wasn't my favorite but it cut circles around my Micarta Aus 8 version.

If I recall the micarta knives were without liners, correct?
Correct. If fact while the SS Baby Horns had steel handles they, along with both Micarta Baby Horns, all the full size C34 Jess Horns II's, and all the FRN C38 Jess Horn Lightweights, were unlined.

I just sold 2 co-pilots boxed, in mint condition. One serrated and one plain. They had brass linings and I believe they were the only ones with liners in the stainless line? I think some of the current stainless knives like the Delica may have bronze washers? While I never had a problem with the pressed pivot pin, I would like a stainless with an adjustable pivot with flat screws and blade washers, with the rest of the knife riveted. As I wander off topic.

It's your thread, you can take it wherever you like. :)

And to answer your question, yes, the Co-Pilot was the only all stainless model to have brass liners.
