I've been taking a closer look at the Point Rock by Jesse Hemphill and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or any of his other knives. There seems to be very little information out there, but they certainly look nice.

I've got a Town Creek, which is a similar design differing only in that it has a clip point. Mine was made by/with Bark River and I think the fit and finish was excellent.

My only real gripe is that the Moran style handle feels a little bulbous in my hand (size large gloves) and that the sheath it came with causes the edge of the pommel to ride a little high and dig into my side. Both of these issues are easily fixed with sandpaper and a new sheath.

Otherwise i think it's a great design and size for hunting and general use. Mine came with a thin convex grind that slices very well.

I wanna say that they are made by Bark River, at least that's what I remember hearing!! I like his designs though!! Should be a solid knife!!
Thanks. The Bark River connection is a point in its favour if anything. I was a bit concerned about how that Moran bulb would fit in my XXL hands (medical glove size), but it does look like a great knife.

Several of my finest knives have come from Mike Stewart's hands, three Marble's in 52100 and a Bark River Professional Series Woodland in A2. I'd bet my life on any of them.

This from a previous post regarding Mike Stewart and his "fine knives":

"Really? Catastrophic failures of the knives being posted regularly on forums for the last several years, Mike Stewart's decade-plus long history of fraud and lack of ethics, (as attested to by several high-ranking members of the knife community*)... you think all that is completely made up?
Stories of good experiences with Bark River and Mike Stewart don't magically make the bad ones go away.

Again, the truth is out there if you want to find it. He is a douchebag - personal experience. But I will not derail this thread further.
