Well my second 7 has arrived...not as beat up as i was afraid off but she's already got naked...now onto some filing,sanding,grrinding....well,ya'll know the deal.this is my second time attempting that (first with a becker) so far it was pretty easy.i ll try to upload as i go....
 
Someone has been watching too many of Tanner's videos. That being said, 'tis a good looking knife you got there.
 
Honestly I don't know if that is even possible. His mods are impeccable. I tried and know that my mods to my 24 definitely came short. Good luck though, definitely looking forward to what you are going to do.

Yeah i agree hawkhead mods are flawless wich is why i ve been looking at it.not pretending to get any close as his at all but if i have to look at something may as well look at great mods

This is how far i ve gone today,deramped it,rounded the spine a bit,and try different things with forced patina(don't think it ll stay that way though),then sprayed the scale with few coats of bed liner and a couple coats of kemar.
Still have a long way to go but it s a start.was lots of fun so far....need more sand paper...!
 
Hey Derek and Darkside, You men are too kind, thanks. We all inspire each other. Your work and that of all the other Becker enthusiasts as well as the camaraderie are what got me into knives and modding. Keep 'em coming, fellas.

Added an extra pouch on the factory kabar sheath today,i ll have to wait next week to do more ti the knife now...thanx for looking
 
I'm one of the few that kind of like the thumb ramp.... For now. With that said, I dig it! :thumbup:

Hey jerry,i DO like the thumb ramp as well,this is why i got a second 7,so i could have one of each,and you should link that video to tanner...:)

Zaper...yeah i liked them with bedliner( i sprayed about 5 or 6 coats + a few coats of kamar )...made them a bit more "grippy". I have no idea how it hold though as i gave them away to rkmoore i think it was.maybe he'll tell us more about them in the future
