Jet Pilots Knife

I just purchased a Jet pilots knife with the markings on the pommel -- Camillus 2-1972. The knife has a bright blade and I was wondering what steel the blade is made of. I have never seen a bright blade Jet Pilots Knife and have some curiosity about them. Can anyone help me out. thanks very much
