Got a new BA10 in. My first light of this sort. I have a multi-mode Mag-Lite, but I wanted something better, and a little shorter. I ordered a Fenix LD10 first, but the JetBeam beat it here. Only two modes, high and low. 160 lumens on high, with a 97 minute run time, and 12 lumens on low, with a 30 hour run time. Built very well. 4.13" long, with a 0.906" diameter. Weighs 60 grams. I thought a case came with it, but it didn't. I ordered one for it.

AA. That's what I set out to get. Been thinking about ordering the Quark Mini AA too.

It's great to have at least one edc light that is AA, that's why I immediately replaced my LD10 with an LD12 even though I mostly carry a 4Sevens Quark Mini 123. It's nice to know that most random gas stations/liquor stores/etc will have a fresh AA for you, not as likely with a CR123.

JetBeam makes some great EDC lights. You can safely run a lithium ion 14500 rechargeable battery in this light & get 320+ lumens from this light.

That was the whole thing for me. AA's are more available. Ive also read where the 123's are to known to explode, but perhaps this has been remedied.

How much are those batteries. I've been reading you can do that on Candlepowerforums.

I switched everything to AA or AAA's - easy to find in any gas station. My only CR123 is my Lecia range finder and I don't carry spares for it. Nice score warrior.

I bought a BA20 when I went to day shift (no need for a maglite just to look in closets for whiny kids and under seats for drugs during the day) and I like it so much I bought them for every member of my family for Christmas. I then bought a Jet III M. I will buy more and more. Jetbeam makes a GREAT product.

I switched everything to AA

This. Same reason. Cheap, and available anywhere, in addition to being seriously bright. Even the low settings on BA10s and 20s are enough to change a tire by.

Thanks guys. Really liking this so far, although I haven't used it too much yet.

I like flashlights, and it's about time I get a new EDC light. I'm mainly only in need of a penlight, since I am used to those. I have been looking at others like the quark and maratacs, though.

Thanks for the overview on the light.

I was also checking the Maratac out. Looks like a good light.

I have a couple of Mini Quark AA, this days it is all what I use along with a very good quality Kalrus headband.
With this set up I get common batteries (AA), full interchangeability if needed, flexibility as this could double as hand held or headlamps and very good run times. So far I have used the same set of lithium batteries for three weekend trips over the last four or five months.
Also one thing that I really like about single cell flashlights is that they consume only one cell, so with only one spare for my two lights I fell fully covered.
Best Regards

Got my Fenix LD10 in today. Love this thing. Here it is side by side with the JetBeam BA10:

Slightly shorter than the JetBeam:

Nice lights, I have a older Fenix and Jetbeam. My Quark Mini AA is one of my most used lights. With the new LEDs today I can all the light I need 95% of the time from a AA or AAA. I have been looking at the eagletac d25a neutral. I like the neutral tints a lot more.
