Visited Jewel Cave yesterday. Went down 280 feet underground. Cold and wet!

Cool colors:

Lots of crystals....which gives the cave it's name:

Before going in a cave, you must first watch The Descent!

Great Cave movie.

I have been in a few in my day too. Timpanogas cave, some cave where cave man lived in oregon? Couple other caves.

My room mates tried to convince me to go into these tiny caves called the "Nutty Putty caves" in Utah, where you have to squeeze through all these tiny holes. I told them no way. Some dude died there last year during the holidays, because he got stuck. The rescuers had to just watch him die of cold and constriction because there was no way to get him out. They left his body in there, and closed down the caves for now. Needless to say, he was much much skinnier than I am, and he still got stuck. I believe he is one of a hand full to die there, but was the first one they could not get back out (said they would probably have to cut him up to get out).

Anyway, random story time over.

Great pics.
