The engraved Khukri I bought from Uncle Bill was stolen. :(

If you see it out on e-bay please post here or e-mail me.

I believe it happened Tuesday night, I had alot of people here and I had all my khukris in a drawer. Jewel and Ashley, the 2 "sister" Khukris were in a seperate drawer. They only took Jewel.

I have filed a report with the police, and they are pretty much unintrested since I only payed $145 for her.

Jewel, is a chiruwa handeled BAS with Black horn handles with grey and white streaks. 15" long, fully engraved blade of a dragon on each side and made by sanu with the HI logo above and behind the cho.
Her scabbard is sort of furry and has BIRGORKA NEPAL stamped into the leather on the front. The Karda has a small chip on one side that I filled with epoxy.

Please help me out and see if it ends up on e-bay. I am checking all the pawn shops here, but my car broke down and it is a difficult task to do so on foot.

If someone with a membership could possibly go out and find the Pictures of "Ashley" that Alan a.k.a. "ACStudios" posted quite some time back. "Ashley" is almost exactly what "Jewel" looks like, same size and handle characteristics, just a slightly different style of dragon, and when I say slightly, I mean "SLIGHT" as in strokes of a brush.

Thank you all!

Sorry about your loss.

I found the post you referred to but cannot open/view the picture files.

Maybe ACstudios has a copy of the pix on their computer???

If they E-mail it to to me I will post it for you.

and came up with the same results as RifRaf. Hopefully Alan has a pic? :(

Keep your ear to the ground.

Call the friends you trust and get help. Call everyone who was at your house and tell them what has happened and ask if they saw anything out of the ordinary. Go to the pawn shops you can but call many more on the phone. They don't like handling stolen merchandise either. The description of the dragons will help.

The worst is that some nice people steal, and no, I don't mean Ryder. There may be someone you thought trustworthy. A friend of mine is a sporting goods distibutor. He's sold everything from guns to fishing line. He thinks the hardest to keep are the knives. He's seen every employee problem there is.

"I don't know what it is," he told me once, "but men seem to steal the knives more than even the guns. People who wouldn't steal a thing will take knives."

I feel bad for you. The fact you'd named them confirms what this crime is; not just a theft under your roof and good grace, not just theft of a tool, but of a possession which meant something to you emotionally, mentally, and maybe even spiritually.

Sorry to hear of your loss and hope Jewel turns up again.
As munk suggested, definitely get the word out among your friends and guests.
Regards,
Greg

ARRRRGH!!!!

If you find out who, let me know and I'll send Audrey to take care of him.

That just sucks.... :( :( :( :barf:
I'll keep an eye out up here in DFW area. Let me know if you need a mobile fireteam for a rescue. I thought I had a picture, it may be at work

You know a razor edged khuk laid ever so slightly near let's say perhaps the "scrot" a la Pitch Black style,
might be a good way to get things done. Not that I'm mad as hell or anything.
Sorry Dave

Luckally (for the low life) I'm still in a cast and don't have Godzilla any more (or any large Khukuri for that matter) Or I'd offer to teach the punk a lesson when he is caught. GRRRRRR:mad::mad: Theft is wrong.

I'm angry on your behalf too! In a way it's even worse than someone breaking in and stealing it, since it was taken by someone who was a guest in your house.

Exactly what I wanted to say!!:(

I'm really sorry to hear that Dave:( This really upsets me---reread Beo's quote:mad:

I think I'm more depressed about what it says about some people than angry, but I'm pretty damn angry too:mad: :barf:

I hope that the thief gets a healthy dose of Khukuri Karma...it'll come around sooner or later. Don't assume that only good karma can be had from these blades!! Look for a "friend" missing some fingers or with a new cast...:grumpy:

Dave,

Damn I'm sorry to hear this :( My account for my web site expired, so I can't post a pic of Ashley, but I'll e-mail Rif one so it can be posted.

I'll keep my eyes open on Ebay too.

Alan

Rif--I need your e-mail address!!

Our khukuris find the right home but now when stolen. Don't worry. The thief will pay -- guaranteed.

Sorry I wasn't quick enough Alan, looks like n2s got there first. Beo said best what I feel... there's not many things worse than having your trust betrayed. :grumpy:
