JFR Fuchs Hewing Axe

A good friend of mine emailed me about him looking for a JFR hewing axe, as his son is into making rustic furniture and apparently this axe received some press and now is highly sought after, as if is no longer made. Does anyone have any information or background on this axe. Thanks. John
PS Again my "Forgettery" is working better than my "Memory" as I see I posted this same question back in May!

That model that Peter Follansbee kind of made famous would be an interesting to use one.

There is a lot out there that is a similar pattern - eye shape, blade shape, single bevel, slightly rounded blade.

I wonder if there are other makers of similar quality that would be worth looking at?
