Once upon a time, jigged buffalo was offered as a scale material in the custom shop. I would love to see it come back, particularly in light if all the various models there. I was lucky enough to get one when it was still available. I even had a few more made. 1F81851F-852C-4FC3-8F2C-A64EF98A5F20.jpeg 01BD4890-5CD7-4E38-83BB-B5D78E6F1133.jpeg

Mike did you get the 112 & 113 off Bucks Limited Edition web page at the end of last year?

Beautiful. Love the jigged Buffalo handle scales. They have a nice feel in the hand and exhibit good palm swell. I think they had a 110 offered in their Limited Edition section last week when I checked. A run of 24 made by Joe Hauser.

Just checked. The 110 in Jigged Buffalo with Brass Bolsters currently still available on their website. It looks like it’s lined with red Micarta . I’m trying to resist the temptation to buy one and this thread is making it difficult. Beautiful knives.

Nice knives guys. Jigged Buffalo happens to be on 1 of my favorite knives too.

Impalla jigged buffalo horn is one of my favorites as well.
Anyone know how the jigging process is done? I know its not done at Buck.

It is routed buffalo horn. Done on a stationary mounted router. Mike & Gents you have some handsome knives. The 110 is on Buck's website?DM

^^^^ Yep. In the Limited Production category found when clicking on collections.

Hey David, can you expand on that. I am very familiar with using router and other tools and can't visualize how it would even be done. The main grooves are inconsistent but the small grooves inside them are extremely consistent.

I never realized jigged buffalo horn was imitating Impala horn. That is interesting.

I believe routed buffalo horn was discussed in the Collectors newsletter 2001 or 2004 when they offered this feature on the 'Club Knife' for
that year. DM

I skimmed the newsletters from 01 to 05 and found it in the June 05 newsletter for that years club knife - "Buffalo handle slabs that are routed to imitate Siberian Impala horn."
Found no other discussion on it or as to how it's done.

Yes, that's what I found too. I toured Buck's plant in 2008 at the 20 year event and I may have seen the equipment but didn't know
what I was looking at. Or it wasn't reported what that machine did. Thus, I'm not sure 'how' it is done. But we have established that those
handles are buffalo horn, 'routed' to look like Impala horn. DM
