I got the urge to sew up a pocket slip recently. I decided to mimic the look of a jigged bone slip joint. I used a wood burner to do the jigging and shield. The Tandy leather was a bit thick for this project, but I liked the scars that were in the hide. Dyed with Feibing's Tan, sealed with a coat of Renaissance Wax. Lined with white Veg Tanned Pigskin.
I think the next time around, I'll use a thinner weight leather, make the slip a bit longer in length and skinnier in width, and use a larger wood burning tip for the jigging. AND measure twice before I stamp my initials off center!
If you've got a unique or favorite pocket slip, please post it up.
