This is a replica of the famous Kimball/Vicksburg Bowie by Jim Batson that I'm fortunate to own. Jim contacted me recently to see if I could provide him with a photograph of the knife to submit to BLADE for their in-the-works knife 'coffee table book.' I sent him these two in hopes that BLADE will select his knife. I would be very happy for Jim if his knife made it into the book because it's such a successful reproduction in every way - you feel like you've got the real thing in your hand when you hold it. And, he's a swell fella.......

Buddy, you and I need to talk about sending that knife on a vacation :D

Great photo, hope it makes it in!

Buddy,
Hope it gets selected as well.
What a stunning piece of work!

Doug :)

The knife's quality is almost exceeded by the photography. But not quite. ;) Just incredible work by two artists!

Thanks Coop. Shoot man, you taught me just about all I know concerning knife photography, so there!

For comparison, here's the real thing. The photograph is taken from The Antique Bowie Knife Book by Bruce Voyles et. al.

What is the Blade coffee table book?

This is a lovely knife. I think it would look much nicer with a slightly bigger guard, but I realize that this is the way the original is.
