Here is a knife I got from Jim Crowell. I had it on order and picked it up at his home and got the chance to pick his brain. I actually went with a written list of questions and he helped me with all of them. I don't know if anyone here has handled one of his knives but it is flawless. The edge is almost invisible to the eye but it cuts like nothing I've ever experienced. While I was there he showed me how he puts such a keen convexed edge on his knives. We worked on one of my blanks, filed in the ferrule on this knife, and just had an all around good time.

Thanks for looking.

Congratulations on getting one of Jim Crowell's legendary hunters. Jim makes a sharp knife in all senses.

I know you had fun at his shop, and learned a bunch. Jim's the man!

Jim always did really nice knives but I have not seen him for a number of years. Not sure if he still does shows or that I have simply missed him.

That's a great looking knife, Jim is an excellent blade smith. I was talking to a friend the other night and Jim's name came up in a discussion on convex edges, I've got a small fighter and it's sharp! Heck of a guy too, I met him over a beer or three at Arkansas years ago.

Yep, Jim Crowell is one of the GOOD GUYS.
Very talented knifemaker and you won't meet a nicer guy.

He was at the A.G. Russell Knife event last July/August.

Don't know if that's the only one he does though.

That is a very fine hunter! I can reiterate what you say about Jim's flawless work. I have handled/fondled the knife I am posting and there was a huge WOW factor when I first picked it up and checked it out. It stands up to the finest knives currently in my collection.
