Thanks to Paul Kessler, fellow collector and forumite, who sold this fine custom combat knife to me at BLADE. He had ordered it from the maker, Jim Hammond, for a young soldier who unfortunately had to deploy before the knife was ready.
This one is the slightly scaled down version of Hammond's famous SEALTAC combat knife. It is called the Cobra Gold and measures 11 1/2 inches OAL. The steel is 440C and handle is linen micarta. Sheath is a custom fitted kydex and ballistic nylon affair. Hammond's knives are in demand and have earned a stellar reputation for toughness and functionality among America's military elite.
