Heres one my Girlfriend and I finished up the otherday...I think its the best knife ive made so far. Let me know what you think. This is a new design we came up with and she picked a beautiful piece of mammoth ... she also has filework going all along the spine.
8.5" overall 440C SS 58-59 RC
4" blade
Nickle Silver bolsters and pins.
still needs sheath...
Im thinking about sending this one out to Bruce Shaw to have some engraving done also...not sure yet...
thanks for looking!

That is very pretty , classy.
Question on the Mammoth tooth , say if one dropped the knife on the kitchen floor or something firm , would the tooth shatter ? or is it pretty stable.

That is a wonderful knife. I would be interested in the stability of the handle, too.

the handle is from Charles Turnage he stabilizes the mammoth 3 times butits still very delicate if you dropped it it would chip or crack...i havnt seen a piece yet that was totally stable.

I see , well it is still beautiful handle material and an excellent conversation piece.
Thanks for the info :)

I like the shape of your bolsters. If you engrave them, please don't over do it, go easy.
