I had maker Jim Rosa bring to life a design I have been working on for a year or so. Ive always loved the Nessmuck blade shape but disliked the lack of a guard and a few other design points of traditional nessmucks. I contacted Jim Rosa and he brought to life my design perfectly. I wanted to do the handle myself so I asked him to leave the knife with no scales. I ended up handling the knife with a beautiful block of Curly Mango from burlsource with micarta pins and a stainless lanyard tube. This knife turned out better than anything I could have hoped for. It is weightless in hand, beautiful and should be a monster in the performance department. The blade is 4.7 inches of .150 thick 62 HRC M390 and is currently .16 behind the edge. I will probably bring the edge down to about .12. Jim knocked this one out of the park. Anyways here are some pics! Don't mind the apple juice on the blade. Now I just need a nice pair of leather pants!

That turned out great! Did you decide to forgo the liners? The one pic had orange liner material.

Yeah I decided against liners. I think they would have taken away from the flow of the wood. I also considered canvas liners but I think I made the right choice. Im really happy with how the handle turned out. It's very full in hand and because the tang is drilled and the wood is very porous the whole knife is super light weight and has great balance. Im still amazed at how light it is. Its almost unreal.
