Hey Guys...just got off the phone with Ruth Siska, Jim had a mild heart attack and is in the hospital...he is doing fine, and should be out of the hospital in a day or two.

Oh My gosh! Thanks for letting us know Rene. Ashokan would not be ths same without Jim's Help. Heck, knifemaking would not the same without makers the caliber of Jim.

I sure hope he gets better. That guy is a blade grinding wizard.

Jim is definately a knifemaking guru and one of the most modest fellas I've ever met. A really great guy. All the best to him and his family and I hope to see him suffering under your attacks again soon Rene! Actually, maybe you should leave him be for a bit.
;)

OH!!! Man!!! That sucks the big one. :( :( I was looking forward to seeing him and you at the show this weekend. Thank God that he is doing well.

hey rene send him my regards, i hope he's doing better. to repeat all that was said he's a hell of a knife maker, a great layed back, modest guy and a very good teacher. i hope he's on his feet soon.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Jim.

Best wishes Jim and don't sweat it, today's medical community is well equipped to speed your recovery. I had a stroke a year ago on Aug 3rd and thanks to the medical attention I am feeling better than ever now.

Hang in there Jim! I'm still recovering from my first major surgery, and have another one to go soon, these doctors know all the right tricks though, and they'll get you fixed up! Best wishes though in the meantime.
