peter was a fisherman
on the sea of galilee
he sprinkled salt on what he caught
then sold them all to me

i took them to the shore and grilled them for the tourists there
we only had one loaf of bread but the tourists didn't care

oh margarita oh margarita
oh margarita i call your name

and having written
i return
to margaritaville
to learn
if i prefer a sip of wine
or just the sea and sand by which to dine

I am a different kind of Parrot head :)

Have fun Buddy.

I'm the only one in my group that can form a coherent sentence :)

I guess that makes me a double Parrot Head!............

My Best Buddy Ren E. Burd. 20 yr old African Grey Congo. Has a vocabulary of over 1500 words and phrases, whistles the andy griffith theme all the way thru, knows parts of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, pop goes the weasel, among about a dozen others and swears like a sailor to boot!

Eclectus are very beautiful birds! Which subspecies do you have?
I shy away from the larger parrots though, after having a double yellow headed amazon almost give me a cleft lower lip.
Ren has a neighbor, named beau, who is my wifes bird. He doesnt say much...bites like a buzzsaw though.
We live in a mini zoo here..... heres some of our brood:

Isn't there a lot of beautiful birds down there that are native to your country for you to get at a great price? I know I used to collect and some of the most exotic and expensive reptiles are from your country. My Grail snake was a black headed python. At that time, they were about $7000 for babies.

He is a Red-sided Eclectus parrot, Native to Australia and papua new guinea i believe. Hes full of personality and never bites (even when kids annoy him). Nice to see another knife lover with a zoo lol beautiful animals

Yeah theres some awesome birds here, some of them iv even seen when camping like a few red-tail black cockatoos (normal cockies are quite common) but at the time i was looking for a companion bird.
I used to collect reptiles too, Black headed pythons are around $800 here, but we can only keep Australian reptiles, they really strict on the import and export on native reptiles. My grail snake is the Green Tree Python, they used to fetch around $7000 here a few years ago due to being endangered but they got cheaper and you can find them for $2000 now, i saw them for $300 on an American site a few years back but i think thats because they are also native to another country.
Right now i only have a black and gold jungle python but iv had 100s of reptiles over the years, Do you still keep any?

Yea I've had Green Tree pythons but I couldn't them them to breed for me. I wanted green tree boas but I wouldn't settle for anything less then the Amazon Basin ones because they get so much bigger and nicer. I don't have any more reptiles, I just don't have the time.
As for birds, I had a hybrid cacatoo before, a cross between a sulfer created and umbrella. WOW can those things scream loud! But I didn't have time for that either. Just INFI now, I don't have to feed them and can't afford pets with an addiction like INFI :-)

Hmm. No report from Manix J.

Methinks he might have gotten a little too far into that Margaritaville spirit. We might not hear from him until Monday!
