Once again decided to go back to my childhood and make something I wanted back then but couldn't afford (still can't, but hey! I can afford a few grinding belts!)

Anyway, as per the thread title, it's a mix up a a few Lile survival knives really. Bit of First Blood, some Sly II with a dash of Mission.

9" 0-1 blade, 5 1/4" 304 stainless handle wrapped in olive Atwood Microcord, aluminium cap, and 0-1 guard. The guard and darkened portion of the blade were done with ferric chloride.
The stone is a Fallkniven DC3.

Thanks for looking,

Ian that's a great looking homage to Rambo. I love the two tone blade and the slight recurve.

BUT.......That sheath is absolutely gorgeous mate! You really put in a huge effort to giving the knife the proper pants for work! Excellent.:)

Thanks for the comments...very much appreciated.

Funny things these 'Rambo' knives. For all the derision aimed at them, they're always remarkably popular. I suppose my Mrs is right when she repeatedly tells me that men never grow up. :)

Making these is a bit of a love/hate thing. There's a lot of boring work involved. Nothing quite as tedious as turning a handle on a lathe or milling machine for hours on end, but the 10 year old part of my brain enjoys the outcome!

Anyway, thanks for looking and commenting.

Ian.
