Not the greatest job in the world, but, it is my first attempt at jimping. I don't have a vise, so I just held it in my hand, and used a Dremel on low speed to jimp it. It does feel good, and man, does she ever throw the sparks from a firesteel. All in all, I'm satisfied with it.

If you noticed, behind the jimping, I had to radius it out a bit, because I had a few grinds that were too close together.

Very cool, now go out and get a vice. I'm sure the next one will be much nicer with a vice. :D

I need one. I had to make the grinds at a bit of an angle, because the body on the dremel tool would hit first. Not too bad though, considering my seeing eye dog is blind too. :D Oh well, what the hell, it functions well at least. ;)

Not bad for not using a vice.

Thanks. It was hard to hold the knife in one hand, the Dremel in the other, with no guide lines, and get it straight. I could do way better than this, if I had the right equipment.

Nice jimping, and skills to hold in one hand and dremel in the other. That takes guts.

Wow, that looks nice. As long as it works for you, mission accomplished!

Thanks maethor. It does work well indeed. It throws sparks like crazy. I didn't even know my fire steel was capable of that. Plus, of course, the grip for your thumb is better.

Next up; serrations!

After the way my jimping turned out, don't think I'd wanna try serrations, lol. In all honesty, I really don't care for serrations too much.
