  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Been a while so I thought I'd post a few pics of the Otter Creek. Making some spruce shakes for my wood shed.
Peeling

splitting with the froe

Very cool. Interesting seeing folks making stuff the old fashioned way. Please post up more photos if you have any!

Glad to hear the new one is coming up. Really looking forward to that.
I don't usually think of taking pics when I'm out doing stuff. I will be making a hay fork from a maple sapling tp day. I'd be happy to post pics if you want to see them.

I would enjoy seeing them. sounds very cool.

Hey,the handle is crooked on that chopper.;)
Haha.Great post,love the froe & mallet.
It looks like the mallet is made out of one piece of wood?

The mallet is made out of a single piece of hard maple. The froe is made from a leaf spring and a pice of pipe.
