I saw something like this done on another forum and thought it might be fun for the JK community as well, seeing that there are countless examples of the generosity of everyone here.

The idea is that you take a flat rate box and fill it with fun stuff like knives, flashlights, paracord projects, etc. Basically things that you think someone else might enjoy. The box gets shipped from one person to the next, with each person taking a few items that they like and adding their own contributions. I don't think we need to have a dollar value attached to what you put in or take out, just take what you like and put in what you can, then ship it on to the next person on the list.

Curious if any of you guys would be interested?
 
Sounds good to me. Another idea I want to toss out now, is how about a Christmas gift exchange? Set a dollar amount ($20?) and figure out how to do a grab bag for whose name you get. If there is interest, I will start a new thread. I still want to do Sean`s idea first.
 
both sound good to me.
KFU does a Christmas exchange where he collects all the names and does a random draw so no one gets stuff from the person they send their package to. I'm pretty sure he set a $50 limit.
The other rule he uses is it all has to be stuff you already have -- no one is supposed to go shopping once they have a name.

Another chance to put a smile on a face is a good thing....
And getting goodies in the mail ain't a bad thing either.
I've also participated in the 2 swaps on the KFU/Backwoods forum,heck of a lot of fun....

Count me in!
 
like Vik said...the KFU exchange is a great time. i would love to do one with the JK crew.
 
I think the idea would be that it should be really open to whatever you want to put in there, new, used, made, bought, whatever.

The one I saw people put all sorts of cool stuff in. Patches, different types of local candies, really only limited by your imagination and what the USPS allows you to legally ship.

I will start a different thread for sign up and some general rules.
