What a great way to kill a few hours on a Saturday PM. All I took was a JK Tin Knife, a Boy Scout ferro rod, some jute twine, a square of Ensolite pad and a couple Dos Equis. I had plenty of firewood from my brush pile and lots of dried weeds to get things started after the jute twine took the ferro spark.
I sat some, I laid down for a while, I paced around some. But mostly I just plain enjoyed myself. Although it was only around 12 F today, there was a lot of bird activity to enjoy. A beautiful Red Tailed Hawk even came in for a closer look. The best was near sunset when a flock of more than 50 Robins flew over and caught the sweet light that made them glow! It was just an awesome day. And the fire was good to the last bit.
Last, but not least, The Tin Knife is a great bottle opener in a pinch.
