First off, apologies to John for not doing this sooner.
I recieved this cracking blade almost 7 months to the day!!
You know how it is though, sometimes things just get in the way.
I'm finally finding time to get some workshoping done again.
Together with a puukko I'm handling, this was my first knife after a long dry spell.
The scales are Brazillian Tulipwood, solid brass pins and a mosaic lanyard pin, a mix of brass and copper, I thought complimented the scales nicely. Actually, I had always planned on using the mosaic pin and asked John to accomodate it when drilling the holes. The Tulipwood seemed perfect....pity it wasn't book matched but hey.
It was tricky to get the colours right, especially with it beign another gloomy Yorkshire day.
Kept the handle profile real simple. I find the handle shape makes all the difference in this design anyway.
In the hand...
And that groovy pin...
....I know they are a bit love hate with folks.
Anyway, thanks for looking.
