I won the auction that John just had for this knife. I wasn't sure how much I would like it, but I figured for the price I got it for it was well worth it. Not sure what I was thinking, but this is a really nice knife. I am amazed at how balanced and comfortable it is in the hand for a larger knife. This is one of the most comfortable full size knives I have had the pleasure of handling. Reminds me of a "full sized" Anniversary EDC but is more comfortable due to the larger size and flaring.

This is the first time that I have personally viewed the tan micarta handle and it is really nice.

I am posting a few pics with other familiar models so that size and scale can be determined. Top to Bottom Scout Jr, Combat / Survival, Anniversary EDC, Pocket Bowie and Pocket Scandi

I can't say how happy I am with the "in hand" comfort and the limited cutting I have done. I plan to get out this weekend with it, the Kephart and the Scout Jr for some comparison use. I didn't take any pictures of the sheath, but it is really nice and John has pictures of it in the auction thread. Anyone looking for a full size comfortable user should consider this model. I look forward to comparing this to the Hiker and Bushcrafter models when I get them in a few months.:)

Hi Dave -

Thanks for the pictures -

That is even bigger than I thought it was!

You got a great price on that puppy - I would have kept bidding but I have a few in the pipeline to wrangle up cash for!

Thanks again for the pics and I look forward to your "in use" pictures.

best regards -

Looks a lot like the AK knife! Not to derail but...How do you like the Pocket Bowie compared to the Pocket Scandi?

I love the looks of the bowie, but I carry the scandi everyday in my front pocket. The pocket scandi is the first scandi grind I have had and i really like the edge. It is far and away my favorite every day carry.

That is such a great looking knife. I saw the auction a little too late, I might have had to throw a bid in! I really like the shaping of the scales.
