I think it's good practice for me to always keep a Kephart with me in the outdoors. I can't always, and between my two from ML and two from John, it is hard to decide what knife to take.

I just got done reading your post in the Wilderness forum, nice photos as usual.

Thanks John, not only for the kind words, but the tools you make and give to us all. That Kephart kicks ass. It has made lots of chicken soup, meals, and many many fires. The less you baby a knife the better it performs!
The sheath is light and fits other knives too.

The only problem with John's knives is that they don't wear out. They keep going no matter what we throw at them.
Thanks for all the pics that keep me entertained and envious throughout the year.

That kephart design is really growing on me! That one looks well loved, thanks for the pics!

Nice, bear!

Love the patina on your tools - awesome! Thanks for the pics.

Great pictures, used Kepharts sure to look nice with a patina on them. Where are you in these?

Great pictures. Thanks for posting them. Love the beauty marks on that Kephart.

Thanks. It is just a little combination of neglect and love. I use them so much because I love them, but I often let them sit afterwards like a kitchen knife. Potatoes and animal fat take their toll. This is the outcome.
