I got my Kephart wednesday & gotta say...wow,what a knife!
For some reason I thought it would be smaller, but this thing is a brute.
It's one of my three favorites now next to my FB Bush Crafter & Mark Wohlwend Bush Crafter.
Here it is with another JK great, the Belt Hawk.

Thanks for another great knife John.

That is a great looking pair. I need one of those hawks.

I'll tell you guys, it is really hard to beat one of John's Kephart's! I think that is really over all the greatest knife that John makes! Not that he doesn't make a bunch of other great ones too! So far, I've never seen a knife that John made, that I didn't want to add to my collection, I was just born poor! I guess some of us get it, and some of us don't, simple as that!

mykel m, that is a really nice looking pair! If that doesn't tell people something about John's work, nothing will! Enjoy!

The only bad thing about the Kephart is when you get one you then want the Baby Kephart and the EDC Kephart and the Kephart HD and the Kephart, well I think you get the idea! Beautiful pair there, enjoy.

Thanks guys, believe it or not,I'm still diggin' the Kepie!Awesome knife John.
And lets not forget the Kepzilla outdoorsfan.

Hi Mykel -

That was my first JK - and I still use it, most recently it went to the Michigan Gathering with me.

best regards -

For those of you with JK hawks, whats the weight like? I've only ever had the drop through type hawk heads where the handles are complete wood and was wondering if there is a great deal of difference between how they feel in the hand, are they much heavier?
