How's it going folks?

I just wanted get your take on this? John K. (JK) has just posted this not too long ago and among his regulars of his subforum, he has some positive comments, but unfortunately they are to be expected from the fan base.

That is why I am coming here, I would like to get some others to weigh in. Take a look.

The first model in the new Budget Series, the drop point.
Specs:

8" overall
3 3/4" blade
1/8" thick O1 steel
Textured finish on the blade flats
Saber grind
Black canvas micarta handle
Aluminum pins

Thanks.

I'm not a regular to his page but I have used a number of his knives and they have all been great. His prices have crept up slightly but the guy has to make a living and his workmanship has also gone up so it evens out. All in all great knives and great guy !

I just bought a used "worker" here on the forum...it's really growing on me. I love the honesty, no frills, approach. I've got 100+ knives in my collection, just a handful that I actually use, this one will never leave my shop. I'm really looking forward to future offerings.

I had a modded model of the e01.

I traded it out of necessity but am looking to get another in s30v. It's amazing what you get for the price. Really nice ergos, the finger groove gives you great purchase without having to have a rough handle. Really slicey for such a thick blade. The kydex was done perfectly as well to be used.

I had a Nyala for a while and liked the e01 a lot better. Just wished it was in a more stainless steel which can be remedied!

Just got another Candian Belt knife from John today.
Cuts like a laser and made to my specs.
He's great to deal with and turn around is quick!

Good to see a few here who own my knives. As for prices creeping up, the new Budget Series models are actually priced pretty low, less than a lot of production knives. Same with the EO1 Series.

John's knives are very good. He doesn't charge enough IMO. Other makers of the same skill level sell knives above 200.
