I was fortunate enough to name this knife and I have #2 in a limited run. I'm going to do a more extensive test later, along with a few other JKs I own. I spent some time working on the convex edge today since I am really learning how to sharpen them after years of trial and error.

I have a love of fat handles and this baby is nice in the hand and with a short blade, it feels nimble and yet VERY capable of any task it tackles.

Here are a few intro photos...not the best quality, but you get the idea. :)

Hi Rockywolf -

Great knife!

Here is a picture of the Original Original - the first knife that John made, and it is on the wall of his shop; the inspiration for the Original limited run.

Yep. Ipe. I coated mine with clear varnish and have used it in wet conditions to good use. The fat handle works well with mittens.

There's just something about this knife in my hand. I bought it for my father in-law but I'm not sure it's going to make it to him lol! Thanks for the bump mqqn

Nice. Great knife. I don't use mine very much- my phoenix gets the most time....or my JK scandi...

Hi Rockwolf -

I admit that mine is unused as yet - I know it would be an excellent all around knife, but I have a few I use in the kitchen.

I will have to get it out and give it some love someday soon.

Bumping this. I dug mine out today and stropped it a few times, then put it in my bag to drag around on the errands today. This knife is truly bombproof. The pics above may entice a few of you to order one--you will NOT be disappointed.

my JK-O next to my first JK -- the "big" bushcrafter.

absolutely love the heft and balance.

There is something just classic about that original knife, great lines and calls out begin to be used.

I am glad this one came to the top again -

I have one more knife to sell for Hanna - and guess what it is????
