I was cutting up some ribs for the smoker this morning and thought I would take a few pictures of a knife I use often in the kitchen that does not, however, get much attention on the forum (my fault..)

The Cutlass was a design by Mack (Protourist ) that was intended to honor a Randall Made #4 with a few details from the #3 -

Original JK Thread on the knife

My original review of my version of the knife -

Still loving this blade - It would be nice to see someone ask for one to be made in stainless as a great gift for the woman in their life, something like that lol.

The above were all taken today - showing that properly maintained a JK in 01 can remain beautiful and relatively free from staining; always clean and wipe the knife down thoroughly before storing. I store mine in a knife block re-purposed just for my JK knives.

Enjoy your Sunday - I know I will be enjoying mine later when the ribs are done!

Thank you, Mqqn. It's always good to see one getting used. I was fondling mine this morning daydreaming about an elk hunt.

Mack (Protourist ) is a great knife designer as this cutlass and the JK Rule # 9 attest. And John makes them better than right.

I always thought that design would work well for kitchen duties, just seemed "right". Problem with one in stainless is price, that model would be too expensive!
