well please forgive my lagging on the scandi review and pics... we have been super busy lately and to top it all off, i am having problems with my Photobucket account...
i have had the JK scandi for about a week now, though i haven't been able to get out to the woods lately, i have had a great time with it none the less..
the design of this knife really appeals to me.. i was instanly attracted to it and am glad i got a chance to be a part of the passaround.. it's got smooth flowing lines that are very comfortable and user friendly..
here's some specs:
-7 1/2" overall.
-3 1/2" blade.
-1/8" thick O1 steel.
-oak handles.
here's some pics..
like John's knives, the sheaths they come with are built to last, this one came with a bomber dangler style sheath..
some in hand shots.. i have Med. sized hands..
i touched up the knife a little when it got to me.. then it was good to go.. it carved and made notches in this hazel wood, no problem.. it felt super comfortable too, the oak scales had a nice natural warm feeling to them..
even though it didn't get a chance to take this one out to the woods, it saw daily use amongst my kitchen knives...
it was solid performer..
well go to run.. i'm off to a high school wrestling match...
thanks again John.. i love this knife, and wouldn't change a thing..
cheers.. Mike
