Okay I was hoping to get this a little more done before posting but I just can't wait no more. So here it is, I have been working on making a couple of pocket sheaths for the JK Toby's Knife, in the name of doing a Christmas giveaway of sorts.
Bear in mind that I don't make 'em as good as JK or RG or Wasteland etc, but they work.
I don't really know how to do this, I don't mean to sell them, auction seems a bit strong. I can't offer much of a variety either because My JK hoard is a little low at the moment but...
What to do:
Here's what I'm thinking, if you have a JK Toby's Knife and would like a pocket sheath for free, please send me an email (pahoward@hotmail.co.uk), or if you want one just for kicks or because you think it'll hold another knife (or pens, pencils whatever.)
HOWEVER I would think it mighty cool if you sent a donation to JK for Hanna as well, I thought it'd be good to send some "whatever" money - Christmas is coming, her birthday, or of course the medical bills, just...whatever.
I have only made 6 so far and I'm still working on them, especially the white leather (it's thicker and I'm having a harder time getting them finished to my liking.) I'm hoping the thanksgiving break will get me the chance to finish them up and make some more, so I could ship out next week.
I'll email you back with the paypal account for those donations (same as the auctions I figure). You don't have to, and I won't check, but you'd be mighty cool in my book if you could. I figure if I can get another 4 made, and 10 people donate even $5, thats a tank of gas (maybe) to go somewhere, a present, lots of chocolate, a movie to watch, magazines to read...etc.
You've all donated much already, so consider the "sheath" a free thank you, hopefully they won't be a poor thank you when I'm done.
One Last thing I'd like to say if it's okay with you: The Toby's Knife (JKTK) was specifically named after my son, Toby James Patrick-Howard, who died of SIDS. For anyone who doesn't know, SIDS is a diagnosis of exclusion, it just say's they have checked for everything they can think of, and they don't know. I don't talk about it a lot, I don't want to, and I don't like to. I don't mean to invoke him to get your dough either. But JK helped me design and let me name a knife for Toby, this gave me a kind of solace, which is no small thing. Anyway, I think it'd be cool if Toby could help Hanna a little to, like John helped me.
