  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I asked John to make me a desk knife a while ago & I wanted it to look good so I asked for Ironwood with brass liners.(barrowing trev's idea for his fixed sodbuster)
And since it was to be a letter/package opener & general duty knife I asked for it to be made in 1/16 stock.
I was into toothpick type traditionals at the time so asked him to pattern it off one of his Imperial fish knives which is a toothpick pattern after all & all either of us had at the time.
It's been sitting here on the comp desk right next to me as I surf the www since I got it,opening mail & the occasional package for me.
It is the perfect desk knife, but would make a great bird/trout or even a steak knife if someone wanted one for that.

Sorry it took me so long to show this guy off & thank you for it here on your forum John.
It's kind of one of those hidden in plain site type deals if you will.
It is a great knife for any of my mentioned purposes, but for me it is my surfing companion.

Thanks John,it sure is a beauty.

I remember seeing that when he made it.

Great idea for a little fixed blade. Obviously been proven over time as a folder.

Love it!

That looks like a great knife for whittling. I bet you'll find yourself carving things at your desk soon.

Nope,I can't whittle & type at the same time Mack.;)

But yeah,it'll do just about anything the folder will do.
