I picked this one up one 8-14, Road Money Discount. I had put off getting one long enough, so I snagged it. I like this blade, made a few changes to it more to my liking. Great for picnics and general utility.

Thanks again Yangdu

I love mine, makes a great light outdoors knife. It's cute enough that my mom wants one. Mine has a horn handle, which is pretty. I'd rather have wood my Khukuris, but on a smaller knife horn works quite nicely.

The JKM-1 is a great all around little cutter. I packed one for years as my belt knife when stomping through the woods. I've had them in horn, wood, and antler.

If it hadn't been for the advent of the SARGE knife or its beefy cousin the R-6, I would have never needed another small belt knife than my JKM-1. If I ever happen to stumble across another antler JKM-1 (lost mine :() then I would snap it up in an instant. Fantastically stout little knives.

Nice blade you have there. I have an older JKM-1 with horn handle that I bought back in 2001. The blade is more then 1/4" thick!! Talk about a sharpened prybar. LOL!! One of these days I'd like to get a thin one.

Thats a good one. The edge comes right down to the handle. Nice score.

Great pictures, thank you

They're cute little knives. I really should get to putting a good edge on mine.

Mine came nice and sharp !!

I need to get one of those.....
I think one is still available on the 8-15 Road Money Discount.

Would make a good addition to the gardening tools as well.

I actually read up on him just prior to making the purchase, he lived not to far from me over in Glendale, was aslo a member of the Blade forums as Moderator on the Discussion board from what I gather.

Stout is exactly how I would discribe it, sort of the Winston Churchill of the smaller H.I.knives. I'd like to see one in antler as well.

Thanks, it really suits me.

Thank you Yangdu, you take some of the most beautiful pictures.

Hello Yvsa,

Just minor changes, removed the original finish, filed and sanded down the forward bolster/handle and put on a poly/oil finish from Sam Maloof.
