I sharked my second JKM on the 13th. Its got dark neem scales, very pretty neem too with some curl to it, and considerably darker than my seax handle. I love the JKM. Both of mine are by Kumar. My first has an antler handle. This one has an extra half inch of handle too!! The markings on this one are very pretty. Kumar's initials are in Devangari His star is executed perfectly and the UB and HI engravings are along the spine, and beautifully done. The extra half inch of handle is a big deal. This one fits very well into my hands. New dangler will be forthcoming.

Cool! These have evolved a bit and the longer handles really do help as you point out. The villager models esp. are coming with longer handles. I got a bunch of these and stopped, so never snagged one in Neem. Sounds nice.
