I'm thinking about grinding out a choil back of the blade for my index finger and doing a few other small personalizations to it, but other than sharpening them up I like the KK's just as they are.
Either way you decide you can't go wrong.

Steely_Gunz said:I've never handled a KK (probably because the sharks snap them up when they are UBDOTDs), but i really love my JKM. I like the JKM because it's a working brute of a knife. stout and chiruwa. I usually carry the JKM or a Bilton to work with me to open boxes/play with. I like the sheath of the JKM because it doesn't freak anybody out because they never know it's there
I just run my belt through it and tuck the bulk of the knife into my back pocket behind my checkbook.
I have an antler handled Sarge knife that I am experimenting with right now as an EDC. Kis has given me some really good ideas for a new sheath that would make it easier to tuck away. Now i just have to find the time and materials to do it.
Whatever you go with I'm sure of two things. 1) you'll love it. and 2) you'll buy the other one someday anyway

I find that the Karda is better balanced with the longer blade and stick tang. However, I keep a JKM at work in the desk drawer for opening boxes.
I also filed a choil-like depression in front of the handle slabs.

If you want to take a picture of it I'll be glad to post it. I can even scan it if you'll email a copy to me...
