JLL Buck sheath modification

Due to the handle modifications on my recent 105 and 119 knives with the palm swell boarder patrol handle the sheath will not snap with the standard wrap around type sheath. I also had a concern of the rubbing of the snap and strap rivet on the expensive wood. Here is a modification I came up with that is not as secure and protective, but looks like most of the sheaths that come with custom knives. Not promoting this modification, just sharing for those who may have an interest in the process. I like it!

Is the inside of the snap rubbing the blade?

It has the Buck supplied plastic insert. If it didn't, I always recess the snap.

I'm no sheath maker so I dont know squat on them, but turned out good to me. I like the crossover using guard style snap setup. I have a few on other brand knives and I find it fast and less blade touching to the factory style one.
