Emerson and Stevenson made the axes.
Tatem Handle Co made some of the best, if not the best, handles for the era.
John Melvin Tatem and then he and his sons were making replacement tool handles from the mid 19th to early mid 20th century here in Connecticut.
Eastford Connecticut.
