Joe Drouin, well-known knife collector, and honored this year with induction into the Cutlery Hall of Fame and by the ABS with the Don Hasting Award has in the past few months donated most of his knives to various to museums and organizations.
However Joe decided to pass along to others five of his best knives to raise money for his health care.
Those knives are a Moran skinner, an HH Frank engraved folder with gold inlay, an engraved Bob Loveless, a Jess Horn engraved by Winson Churchill, and a D. E. Henry Bowie engraved by Lynton M cKenzie. He chose J. Bruce Voyles, Auctioneers to do it, and that auction will be held August 1, 2000.
The catalog are printed and available now (along with over 1000 other knives in 591 lots in all), and the descriptions are on my website at http://www.jbrucevoyles.com.
If you know of a collector looking for some of those rare maker's work, both Joe and I would appreciate your letting them know. Thanks, J. Bruce Voyles
