Except........ Joe..........the first logo showed the 105 cutting a bolt.....not the 119.

And 2002 showed the 124 cutting the bolt.

And then there's this:

Hello VorpalRain,
We each have our own opinions about things ( Me about almost every thread) but you don't have to put it in writing. It just makes waves. Here if you make waves your not going with the flow and that is a No-No. I learned the hard way so now I laugh to myself about some of the things said. Just nod your head and do yourself a favor and think for yourself quietly. If I feel strongly and my opinion is up to snuff then I will voice it. Isn't Vorpal a word from games like playstation meaning Death? Just curious. Remember it is only a knife forum and no need bust your brain. Your solo contradicting opinion will not change anything except have more members against you. I think I have said enough and take it for what it is worth, or you will be pinned with a name " TROLL " Just taking the reverse opinion to be an AGITATOR. You don't want that.

I didn't even express an opinion on this thread, just posted pictures (one was a joke).

I guess you are saying that if I do have an opinion I should keep it to myself unless it agrees with everyone here?

I've seen a lot of opposing opinions expressed here........I don't think it's dangerous.

As for Vorpal......it came from the great Lewis Carroll.

""One, two! One, two! And through and through / The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! / He left it dead, and with its head / He went galumphing back."

I just caught up to you on this thread. Maybe I'm wrong. I was the guy that told it like it is and then caught hell for voicing it. It seemed to me that if you didn't go with the flow you were the outcast. Now I kinda mind my own. What I said above is my personal feeling which I do practice now. I reread it and maybe I should have minded my own business. I did look VORPAL up the other day, so it does have a meaning of death, Through The Looking Glass. I myself meant nothing, just trying to caution you. My first sentence says it " we all have our own opinion of things", I guess it's just the way it is presented. Sorry if it rubbed the wrong way. MIKE

Well, your advice is generally good.

One must try to be diplomatic and some forums have ruling cliques who get defensive and try to punish people who question them.

This forum seems pretty good most of the time.

But, thanks for the warning.

Michael, Of course people can express their opinions freely on here. But you cannot expect someone to not express theirs whether they agree or disagree with whats said. There has been more animosity on here lately, since I have been a member anyways. Not sure exactly why but most of it comes from expressing a negative view and people are strongly defending Buck. I personally have quite a few Buck knives in my possession and have never had an issue that was serious enough to complain publicly about. I am fortunate to live so close and know a few people at Buck knives.

I would like this thread to continue on towards the admiration and respect the 119 deserves on it birthday year. Not many knives have went the distance like the 119 has.

Makael, Gee I do wish I lived close to Buck, The last four knives I had to pay to ship back to Buck. There were issues with each.I don't know if CandC and SK Blades sell factory blemished knives but the bolsters had dents the scales had an end seam going across the grain making it look like a long scratch. The knife blade stuck up because it was too tight and would not close all the way every time. While watching a basketball game I tried to work it in but no luck. The last actually I didn't send back but I ordered the white 112 with a black blade and when I received it the white was covered in grayish black polishing dirt. It did not want to come off. I had some car wheel cleaner and that with elbow grease
and a tooth brush it did get it off. I should not have had to do that. I also received a Rams horn and the inlays are short and sticking up making a sharp edge coming off the bolsters. All were 110's and some were $100.
This has me discouraged with purchasing any more 110's from CandC or SK blades. The knives that were sent back were repaired to my satisfaction saying much for the forever warranty but brand new knives should not need to be worked on. Not to mention the shipping charge for each. Buck has been good to me though I sent in four 184's to be rebeadblasted and without hearing what the charge would be they just showed up at my door and nice and clean. So I don't mind the shipping so much. I have spoken with Jeff Hubbard and he told me since the beginning of the year things were kind of off kilter but they are starting to get everything under control. So I will give them a chance to regroup and place another order in the future.

Are any of the major players selling the 75th online yet? Or, if I order a 119 from the top retailers, will I get the 2016...

Knifecenter.com has the 75th 119 in stock. I've bought knives from them and never a problem.
