Joe Hargis knives info

Does anyone have any info on his knives.The edge holding ability of his heat treat,fit and finish and overall quality. They seem to be nice knives and was considering one of his but wanted to get people's input who have them.Thanks for any info. Lou
 
Hey there, I bought a small EDC fixed blade from him a 2 or 3 months ago and love it. Mine holds a good edge and cuts well. the belt loop on the sheath started to come un-stitched but was an easy fix (he offered to repair it for free but I didn't want it out of my hands!) He told me that he told me he has since fixed that problem though. I was a little weary about buying a knife from a knife maker off of blade forums (as I had just joined) especially from someone I had never heard so I kind of just said what the heck and gave him a try. The over all finish like sanding polishing was good, not great or perfect but I honestly didn't mind at all as its a user and I live on a farm so looks don't really matter for me. When I bought it arrived a little early to my surprise too. I love it but to each his own right? :)
 
I have had a mini tac for a few years and love it. 1095 steel is easy to keep in shape and the micarta scales are sweet.
