Hi guys new to the forum, hopeful I’ll get some help from you guys! Out of curiosity, if one happened to have a Joe Keeslar mbs Brute de Forge style knife and sheath, what would that be generally worth? It’s not something I would be interested in selling, as it is sentimental to me. Thank you for any help/reply!

please read the rules, you need a paid membership to ask value questions :)
Wow that’s garbage. Last time you’ll see me here, y’all must really be hurting. Asking people for money to ask questions on a forum. Wow that’s tacky

I’ll find another forum to post my valuable information on. Thank you for the insight

Son, when you run with the big dogs, you're gonna get pissed on. There are rules of the road here, for without them, anarchy would prevail.

Finally, if you love knives as much as you say you do, buy an entry level membership - Bladeforums has a LOT to offer. :)

would you like me to close your thread, then?

K KMG211 I know you are frustrated. Before you go, allow me to educate you WHY this is so thorny here.

1. This is a privately owned forum. Advertising pays some revenues, but membership dues (in many tiers) cover the biggest costs. There is no 'free lunch'.

In order to SELL (which is a big lure and value) you need a Gold membership. It's the baseline for potential profit for BOTH the member and the site.

2. This rule of valuations was added MANY years ago, due to the common inherent abuse. Ex: "Hey there, I am new here and I have a nicely valuable knife I am trying to determine what it's worth. I'm not selling it (wink, wink) but I'd like to know. Talk to me....

Kinda familiar? This EXACT scenario HAS happened. Often. SO... the owner determined that you may ask valuations AND have the ability to sell, for the small price of a Gold Membership. Win/win.

And even if you don't want to sell, valuations are valuable to know. Of course the aftermarket is the ONLY true guide. Descriptions, photos, provenance and more will all add OR detract.

You won't agree, but maybe you will understand why a bit more.
