What are the chances of obtaining the paperwork that would have come with my '74/'75 Pathfinder and my '73 Hunter's Axe? Perhaps extra copies from the factory or someone's sock drawer? Original or photocopied.

Thanks! :)

well these things are in them selves of much value and seldum come with out the item it self ... i have watched rare paper work and box sell with out the item for it sell for more then a item it self with out it...
buck does not keep any paper work that i have ever heard of... some times thoes that worked at the factory had some but many have sold it already..
rarely they will reissue a COA but on the few times they done so will mark it as reissued or replaced...

now as a photo copy you may find a adduct here that would email you a copy ...
you did ask in the right place...

Thanks Dave.

Not to pressure anyone or make them feel guilty, because that wouldn't be right :D, but if I had the original paperwork that someone was looking for, I would be more than happy to photocopy and send it. But that's just me. :D

TAH,
From what I have been able to figure out, Buck did not print new paperwork each year. The Use and Care leaflets were printed in big batches and those batches lasted as long as they lasted.
A knife from 1973 would have a Use and Care dated either 4/72 or 1/73. A knife from 74 or 75 would have a U&C dated 1/73 too. In fact, the 1/73 U&C was even used for part of 1976.
This will all be in the next BCCI newsletter by the way.
If you send me an email, I will send you xerox copies of the ones you need, no problem. :)

see what did i tell ya!
ya come to the right place to talk buck!
i only collect the 110 so i dont know what all would have come with an ax at all...
