Some projects are easy. Others you have to work HARD. Thank goodness for digital. I deleted OVER 100 shots before succeeding in capturing these. Took 90 mins alone just to capture them.

But it was WORTH it!

I went for a portrait-mode display. It speaks for itself. The tomahawk will be chronicled start to finish in Dr. Darom and Dennis Greenbaum's upcoming book. The Spike won't be covered, but makes it a good marriage. :)

You did a nice job with the photo. Joe is a super guy and I always liked his work. Thanks for sharing. :)

Nice work, Coop. Joe works to such fine detail it's amazing. The owner of that set must be grinning from ear to ear...:D

This surely is in the "as good as it gets" category for hawks and such. Fantastic work.

Great pics,as usual Coop! Those are fantastic and they look like they belong in a museum.............or at least the right collector. :D

Coop thanks to your efforts we all get an up close & personal feeling about this hawk......Which is extremely well done:eek:

Hot diggety dog! That's some sweet work, on both accounts. I been lustin' fer a good pipe hawk for a long time now- just getting by with a regular hatchet, but I can't smoke it!

Come to think of it, that seems to be one area where a lot of pipe 'hawk makers could use some edjucatin'. They may swing and cut well, but don't smoke worth a hoot. Would love to try out the draw on this pair with some of my favorite pipe tobaccy. :D
