Joe Talmadge / Sharpening Recurve Blade Article

I use that process for all my recurve blades, it works great. The one thing I've changed since then, is that I've decided I like the edges even thinner, so I take the 15-degree bevels all the way to the very edge, and don't stop until it's just about to form a burr (when all the magic marker is gone). I don't let it form a burr at 15 degrees, but I don't switch to the 20-degree stones until all the magic marker appears to be gone.

Thanks Mr. Talmadge. I'll give that a try too.
