LSCF bolsters with Ivory micarta scales. Flawless fit and finish. All pins are perfectly flush. The CPM154 blade is dead centred with a razor sharp edge.
I'm hoping the Ivory micarta will patina over time, I'm sure it will.

Coming from the framelock folder world I am simply blown away by the fit/finish you can get in a custom slipjoint for ~$300.

Great choice--carried mine (green canvas over orange G10) today, while (gasp) on a hike. Had to get the boys out to enjoy the 60+ degree weather on Feb 1. It was a beautiful and glorious day, even if I only used the knife to slice an apple (very sharp and with a superb grind).

Joel is a nice guy and makes a honey of a knife. I think the Hiker pattern is superb and fills an important niche; on top of that, the quality of work is just fantastic. Chamblin makes them sooo smooth, and the springs are absolutely seamless with the scales and blade. I've just touched up the edge of mine a bit on the strop (fine polish), and it pops hair off my arm.

Enjoy that sweet knife, and don't be afraid to use it!

Cheers,
Daniel

Absolutely a beautiful knife. Even blown up on my screen, the knife looks amazing. Wonderful fit and finish.
