John asked me to share these photos of a bowie that I photographed for him yesterday. I'm sure the new owner will be well pleased with this one. John's work just keeps getting better and better.

Chuck, You got that right. great photo of a great bowie and sheath. I think John has a captive audience when it comes to this style of knife package.

Thanks guys and thanks for the post and terrific photos Mr. Chuck!! The specs are as follows:
Blade is 11 1/2" of forged 1095 with an antique finish, OAL is 16 1/2".The handle is elk stag with a fold formed copper ferrule and rawhide wraps. The guard is forged , sculpted, and cold blued wrought iron and the piece also has a wrought iron butt cap with a free form copper nugget .Sheath is rawhide over veg tan, is heavily decorated and made by me of course!

Very interesting....

Kinda looks like it came out of Mordor :)

one hell of a good looking knife, John.
The theme and embellishment compliment the relatively simple and flowing lines of the design.
One of your better pieces, imo:thumbup::cool:

John, really nice Bowie & Sheath package! Your work is so recognizable!

Love the image too!
